Is it possible to do 2 different programmes if I choose 2 sessions?

Yes it is possible, you would just need to send us an email at camps@cdl.ch informing us of your choice.

Is it possible to do 3 weeks?

Yes, the breakdown will be 1 session + an extra week. The cost for 3 weeks is 8,100.- CHF. Please note that there is an extra cost for the transport outside the departure date of 200.- CHF.

Is there a discount if I register for 2 sessions?

Yes, if you sign up for 2 sessions, the cost is 10,200.- CHF.

Is there a discount for siblings?

No, unfortunately we do not offer discounts for siblings.

Can we choose only the Excursion Week?

Yes of course, your child is welcome to attend only the Excursion Week if he or she chooses.

Is it possible to do English one week and French the second week?

No, it is not possible. It is mandatory to follow the English course or French course for two weeks. You’ll receive a language attestation at the end of the session.

If my child chooses the same activity in the morning and afternoon is it the same curriculum?

Yes, the curriculum is the same for the morning and afternoon.

What happens if there are less than the minimum students registered for an activity?

You will be contacted by the camps department to be informed of this situation and be given the opportunity to choose another activity.

What are the music lessons offered in the Premium Category? And do the children have to bring their own instrument?

We offer lessons in the instrument of your choice and will also provide the instrument. You just need to indicate their instrument on the form so that we can reserve the instructor.

What languages do the instructors speak in the activities?

We have two official languages, which are English and French. However, we can adapt to the students.

Will my child get a language attestation?

Yes, he or she will receive a language attestation at the end of the session.

Will my child of 8 years old be put in the same group as a senior camper?

During the morning and afternoon activities, we try to group the children by their age group in the activities they chose. However, if there are only 6 children of different ages who chose the same activity, we would have keep them together. During the evening activities, the children are organized into groups by their ages.

Is there a specific time to drop off/pick up my child on arrival/departure day?

Yes, arrival day if you are bringing your child to the campus, please arrive between 2:00 and 6:00 p.m. On departure day, please come to collect your child between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

Can my child arrive or leave the camp outside the arrival or departure dates?

It depends on the dates. Moreover if they need airport transfers outside the arrival and departure dates there is a fee of 200.- CHF each way.

What if my child is an Unaccompanied Minor (UM)?

If your child requires UM service, there is a 100 CHF fee to be paid to the school, because it requires one of our staff members to be with your child at the airport until his or her plane departs.

Who is responsible for transporting students to and from the airport?

On arrival at the airport, students are welcomed by Collège du Léman staff and then transferred to the campus with our Collège du Léman buses.

Do I need a visa to enter Switzerland?

Students from some countries must hold visas to enter Switzerland. For more information about visa requirements please contact us at: camps@cdl.ch

What kind of food do you offer the students?

The school provides a balanced but varied menu that respects cultural differences. We organise a barbecue each week.

What is the daily schedule?

Boarding Students:

  • 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Breakfast
  • 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Morning Activities
  • 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Lunch
  • 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Afternoon Activities
  • 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Free time
  • 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Dinner
  • 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Evening activities

Saturdays and Sundays schedules can vary depending on the activities.

 

Day Students (Monday to Friday only):

  • 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Registration (on Monday only)
  • 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Morning Activities

Can Day Students join the weekend activities?

Yes, they are welcome to join the activities, but there will be an extra cost which is dependant on the type of activity.

Are the boarding houses mixed?

We accept boys and girls, but they room in different areas of the campus, according to their age.

Can my child choose their roommate?

If your child is coming to the camp with a friend we can place them in the same room. However, the floors are divided by the different age groups and we strongly encourage the children to room with other children from different countries to further enrich their experience.
